At about 8 pm, transfer to a traditional Tango House where you will spend the evening (10 min).

Dinner at an old tango institution in the capital followed by a 1h30 tango-show.

Discover the historical center on a guided walking tour that will take you through the emblematic Plaza de Mayo and stop for pictures in front of la Casa Rosada, the pink Presidential Palace.

Drive to San Telmo, the city's oldest neighborhood. With its many busy cafes, tango parlors, and antique shops lining the cobblestone colonial streets, it  is a neighborhood much loved by local artists and dancers.

Take time to tango around the colorful 'El Caminito' street museum, once home to Italian immigrants.

Stroll around Puerto Madero, a pioneer project for the rehabilitation of the city's old docks.

Transfer to the Domestic Airport (30min).

Visit the city's main square and the museums and churches close by. Marvel at the beautiful colonial architecture of the city: The Cabildo (an ancient symbol of local power), the imposing Cathedral, the Church of San Francisco, the Convent of San Bernardo, and the Cerro San Bernardo. In the afternoon you will visit the quaint village of San Lorenzo located only 5 miles into the countryside.

Visit the "Museo de Arqueologia de Alta Montana, MAAM": this museum was created after the incredible discovery of the children of Llullaillaco. These Inca children died in a religious ritual and were found perfectly preserved by the cold at the top of the volcano Llullaillaco in 1999. 150 objects that were included in their burial were also found. Research has shown that they lived there over 500 years ago, during the height of the Inca Empire before the arrival of the Spanish.

Take a trip through the Quebrada de Humahuaca (3 hours 30 min) which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2003. The Quebrada de Humahuaca is an arid area with stunning landscapes where colors and cultural wealth abound. This is a site where many pre-Columbian and colonial vestiges have stood the test of time.

Start your tour in the small town of Purmamarca to marvel at the Hill of Seven Colors, the Church, and the Artisan Market on the plaza. Pass by the Posta de Hornillos, the antique post office, and continue to the town of Tilcara to visit Pucará, a pre-Inca fortress nearby (entrance fee not included). Continue to Huacalera, where you will cross the Tropic of Capricorn and where there are great views of the colorful hill of Pollera de la Colla.

Visit the Church of Uquía that hosts paintings of the Arcabuceros Angels (important vestige in the area from the Cuzqueña school). Arrival to Humahuaca with its important Cathedral and the Monument to Independence (El Indio) by the sculptor Soto Avendaño. Return after lunch to observe from the route Paleta del Pintor that frames the town of Maimara.

At the indicated time, transfer to the bus terminal for your trip to La Quiaca (3 hours 30 min).

Departure to the village of Tupiza in a private vehicle (1 hour).

In the afternoon, you will visit the town's surroundings where Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid were believed to have died in the late 1900s.

Many stunning features like the Canyon of the Duende, the Toroyoj river, the Quebrada de Palmira, and the Valley of the Machos make it an incredible place to photograph.

Depart for Uyuni and follow the tracks of the 2014 Dakar Rally that took place in South America with several stages in Bolivia.

Passing by strikingly red hills you will get to the town of Atocha where you will have a well-deserved lunch with typical Andean flavors.

Drive to the town of Uyuni, northwest of Tupiza (4 hours 30 min).

Discover Uyuni’s train cemetery where several old abandoned locomotives and train cars conjure up a very unique landscape of desolation.

Transfer to the small town of Colchani (15 min).

Learn about the Colchani salt cooperative and how it extracts and processes 25,000 tonnes of Uyuni salt every year (20 min).

Free time to tour the souvenir market (30 min).

Your 4x4 tour will take you to the Uyuni Salt Flats, the world's largest salt flats covering 4,086 square miles (10,582 square km) with several stops for photo opportunities along the way.

Drive on the Salt Flats on your way to Incahuasi Island also known as the Isla del Pescado (Fish Island).

Enjoy some free time to climb to the top of the hill and explore this strange mound covered in cactuses.

Note: Incahuasi Island may not be accessible during the wet season.

Drive across the Salt Flats on your way to the Tunupa volcano.

Drive to San Pedro de Quemes (2 hour 45 min).

Visit the Pueblo Quemado (Burned village). This village bears historical significance – In 1879 during the Pacific War with Chile, the Chilean military invaded Bolivia and burned all of the houses and structures in the village, coercing the survivors to flee to neighboring regions.
Depart for the Chiguana Salt Flats – Situated at 3650 meters above sea level, this deposit of salt sits near the border with Chile and is characterized by the volcanic mountain range that is visible in the distance, as well as the train tracks that run through this salt flat that connect it to the larger salt flat in Uyuni.
Visit the Mirador de Ollague: enjoy a phenomenal view of the Ollague Volcano which stands at 5868 meters above sea level. This lookout offers visitors a stunning view of the immense volcano and a seemingly face-to-face interaction with this colossal wonder of nature in the midst of the large expanse of the Lipez region.

Depart for the Jewels of the Andes – this region receives its name for the precious and mesmerizing lagoons dispersed throughout the terrain. Collectively ranging from 4000 and 4200 meters above sea level, these lagoons offer visitors a series of serene and dreamy landscapes that truly bring you into a different, remote, and peaceful relationship with Bolivia. Named Cañapa, Hedionda, and Chiarkhota Lagoons, these serene waters will provide a unique excursion through the beautiful and unfathomable wonders of nature.

Road to the Paseo del Leon (Pass of the Lion) – an ocher and beige canyon where geological formations shelter Yarita, a lime green flowering plant that is dispersed across this terrain.

Depart for the Siloli Desert. Situated at 4,000 meters above sea level, this barren desert accompanied by its strong icy winds propounds a beautiful emptiness with amazing geological structures. Among these is the Stone Tree, which built from volcanic sedimentary formations and shaped by aggressive erosion, is a highlight of the desert because of its fascinating and mysterious inception.
Drive to the infamous Red Lagoon – located at an altitude of 4,278 meters above sea level, this lagoon has a unique semblance to a luminescent ruby due to the presence of red algae that feeds the 30,000 flamingos sheltered here.
Visit Sol de Mañana (Sun of Tomorrow) – Situated at about 4,850 meters above sea level, this site has an abundance of volcanic activity which includes geysers and fumaroles, a result from a gap in the planet’s crust which causes sulfurous gases to rise.
Depart onto the outer region of the Salar of Chalviri where you will be able to visit the thermal waters of Polkes. These waters offer visitors a unique opportunity to immerse their bodies in these curative waters at more than 4,000 meters above sea level.

After enjoying the stunning aesthetic of thermal waters and geysers, embark on a journey to the Salvador Dali Desert. This desert sits at 4,660 meters above sea level within the Valley of Dali. Because of this desert’s various red shades throughout its landscape, it has been named Salvador Dali Desert after the famous Spanish painter.
Departure to the Green Lagoon. This lagoon is situated at about 4,350 meters above sea level with a surface of 17 km².
Departure to Hito Cajon border where you will be greeted by our Chilean team, followed by custom and immigration formalities to cross the Bolivia/Chile border.

Overnight at the hotel in San Pedro de Atacama. 

Departure to the largest salt flat in Chile and the driest place on Earth, the Atacama Dessert.

Stop at the Chaxa Lagoon (1 hour).

This area is occupied by three different species of flamingos: The Andean flamingo, the Chilean flamingo, and the James's flamingo.

Free time to walk around the lagoon and see those magnificent pink birds in action (1 hour).

Drive through Los Flamencos National Reserve across the altiplano to the splendid Miscanti and Meñiques lagoons at 13,780 feet (4200 metres) above sea level.

Stop at a local restaurant for lunch before heading back towards San Pedro de Atacama.

Enjoy some free time to walk around Toconao, a charming village where houses were built with volcanic rock, and pop in one of the few craft shops to hunt for local treasures (30 min).

Drive back to San Pedro de Atacama (30 min).

End of the afternoon at leisure.

Remember to wear warm clothes, it can be extremely cold in the morning!

Early departure (approx. 5 am) to drive to El Tatio geyser field (1 hour 30 min) where the steam from the geysers is only visible in the morning.

This is the largest geyser field in the Southern Hemisphere, as well as the highest (14.170 ft - 4320m) and the third-largest in the world.

This 12-square-mile geothermic field boasts over 60 active geysers, boiling water fountains, fumaroles, hot springs, mud pools, and mud volcanoes that put on an impressive show every day of the year (2 hours).

Drive back towards San Pedro de Atacama (1 hour 30 min).

In the late afternoon, your private English-speaking guide will take you to the Moon Valley (30 min).

Discover this amazing desert landscape and marvel at the incredible rock patterns coated in a thin layer of salt. These unique natural formations came out of a lake gone-long and were slowly shaped by centuries of wind and water erosion.

The amazing sunset will encompass the end of your visit in warm tones that cannot be experienced anywhere else.

Transfer back to San Pedro de Atacama.

Transfer to the Calama airport (1 hour 30 min).

Direct flight to Santiago (2 hours).

Arrival at the Santiago airport, pick-up and transfer to your hotel in downtown Santiago to drop off your luggage, with your private guide and driver (20 min).

Discover Chile's capital and largest city, the cultural and political centre of the country: Santiago de Chile.

Learn about Chile's past at historically significant sites such as the Constitution Square located next to the Moneda Palace.

Set foot on other key squares in the city, such as the Libertador Bernardo O’Higgins Square, and the Plaza de Armas (Main Square).

Stop at the Central Market: a busy, colorful and traditional fish and food market.

Drive along Balmaceda Park and the Mapocho river to the old train station. An Eiffel-inspired building, Estación Mapochol is now a cultural center.

Drive up San Cristobal Hill (2280 ft - 690 m) for breathtaking views over the entire city.

At the end of the day, drive back to your hotel (30 min).

Drive northwest (75 miles - 120 km) to the coastal cities of Viña del Mar and Valparaiso.

Relax in Viña del Mar, a picture-perfect seaside resort also known as the Garden City.

Transfer to Valparaiso (20 min). Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2003, Valparaiso is Chile’s busiest port on its central coast.

Ride one of the funicular tramways up the city's steep hill for extensive views of the port and beyond.

Take a leisurely stroll on one of the 45 hills to experience Valpo's street art and its bohemian and poetic atmosphere.

Drive back to Santiago (1 hour 40 min).
