Get off to a relaxing start in Rio by lazing on its world-class beaches, including Copacabana and Ipanema, then check off one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World by visiting Christ the Redeemer. Take in panoramic views of the city atop Corcovado Mountain, and make your way to Iguazu Falls, where you’ll get to witness its beauty as the world’s largest waterfall system from both the Argentinean and Brazilian sides. Enjoy a short flight to Lima, where you’ll base yourself in the upscale district of Miraflores. Stroll its Malecon and shop the Larcomar, a mall situated on a cliffside overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Discover Lima’s historic center and journey onward to Cusco, where you’ll spend the next two nights in the former Inca capital. Day 1 ARRIVAL IN RIO DE JANEIRO : ICONIC BEACHES AND SUNSET AT THE SUGAR LOAF

Morning

Arrival at Galeão, Rio de Janeiro International Airport and assistance with the transfer to your hotel.

Check in at your hotel and enjoy some free time around the legendary beach of Copacabana. (Check-in available after 2pm. Early check-in may be possible upon availability).

Afternoon

In the afternoon, enjoy a tour of Rio’s iconic beaches, including Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon, and the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon. Later in the afternoon, ride the cable car up to the peak of the Sugarloaf Mountain, and enjoy the sunset over the amazing scenery of Rio's background.

Day 2 CHRIST THE REDEEMER AT THE CORCOVADO AND SANTA TEREZA NEIGHBORHOOD

Morning

Early in the morning, hop on the train up the rack railway to the Corcovado Mountain for a spectacular glimpse of Rio and an up-close look at the majestic statue of Christ the Redeemer, one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World.
Afterwards, visit the bohemian neighborhood of Santa Teresa and marvel at its architectural and cultural charms.

Afternoon

Free afternoon. Relax at the beach, keep exploring the busy city, visit the modern Museum of Tomorrow (Museu do amanhã), or the Museum of Fine Arts (Museu Nacional de Belas Artes) (not included).

Day 3 FREE MORNING, FLIGHT TO FOZ DO IGUACU

Morning

Morning at leisure to relax and enjoy the beaches.

Afternoon

Afternoon transfer to Rio de Janeiro's airport and assistance with check-in formalities. Direct flight to Foz do Iguazu (2h). Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Foz do Iguaçu.

Day 4 IGUAZU FALLS ARGENTINA

Morning

After breakfast at your hotel, your morning tour will take you to the Argentinean side of Iguazu, where most of the falls are located. Walk along a series of boardwalks to catch spectacular views of the falls and the occasional monkeys and toucans that inhabit the nearby forest.

Afternoon

Cross the border back to your hotel in Brazil in the afternoon.

Day 5 IGUAZU FALLS BRAZIL, FLIGHT TO LIMA

Morning

In the morning, visit the stunning Iguazu Falls. Officially put on the map in 1541, the giant waterfall system runs over 1.7 miles (2.7 km) with impressive drops from 200 feet (60 m) to 269 feet (82 m). The Iguazu Falls are higher than The Niagara Falls and almost twice as wide.

Afternoon

At the indicated time, transfer to Foz do Iguazu Airport to board your direct flight to Lima, Peru (4 hours 25 min).

Evening

Arrival at Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima.

Welcome by our local English-speaking staff.

Transfer to your hotel located in the residential and shopping district of Miraflores overlooking the Pacific Ocean (1 hour).

Day 6 LIMA CITY TOUR, FLIGHT TO CUSCO

Morning

Start your city tour with a drive around the upmarket district of Miraflores, famous for its 'Malecon' (the strand) and Larcomar, the huge iconic shopping center overlooking the ocean.

You will then drive past the Huaca Pucllana archeological site on your way to visit the historical center of the capital (30 min).

The city of Lima, founded in 1535 by the Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro, still features many invaluable colonial buildings along the main square (the Plaza Mayor) and the nearby streets.

Discover Lima's Cathedral, the Government Palace, and the San Francisco Convent among many other impressive colonial buildings.

Afternoon

In the afternoon, transfer to the Lima airport (30 min) for your direct flight to Cusco (1 hour 30 min).

Arrival in Cusco, meet and greet with your local guide, and transfer to your hotel in Cusco (10 minutes).

Day 7 MARAS SALT PONDS AND MORAY AGRICULTURAL TERRACES, CHINCHERO TOWN

Morning

Transfer to the site of Maras (30 min).

Walk between the hundreds of salt ponds that are used to dry the salt according to a method inherited from pre-inca times.

The many colors of the polygonal ponds can go from light reddish to brownish to white according to the season. This contrasts with the surrounding landscape and gives the site a most-unusual aspect.

Free time to shop pink salt collected by the local community workers.

Transfer to Moray archeological site (30 min).

Walk around and down those impressive circular agricultural terraces that were used to conduct scientific experiments in the times of the Inca (30 min).

Afternoon

Drive to the town Chinchero (45 min).

In the afternoon, you will visit the town of Chinchero and its church.

Transfer to your hotel in the Sacred Valley (45 min).

Day 8 MACHU PICCHU TOUR

Your passport is required to enter the Machu Picchu site. You have the option to get a 'Machu Picchu' stamp in your passport if you wish.

Morning

Today might be THE day you have been expecting since you landed on Peruvian soil as you will finally discover the ancient citadel of Machu Picchu.

Transfer to the Ollantaytambo train station (30 min).

Board the comfortable train that will take you to Aguas Calientes, the nearest town to Machu Picchu (1 hour 30 min).

In Aguas Calientes, walk from the train to the bus station (5 min) and hop on a bus to the entrance of the archaeological site.

Afternoon

Enjoy the impressive 20-minute drive up the hill to the Machu Picchu site at 7,972 feet (2430 m). Rediscovered in 1911 by the American archaeologist Hiram Bingham, Macchu Picchu is now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Learn about every secret this ancient Inca citadel holds and grab every opportunity to take photographs (3 to 4 hours).

Take the bus back to Aguas Calientes (20 min) and board the train back to Ollantaytambo (1 hour 30 min).

Transfer to your hotel in Cusco (1 hour 30 min).

Day 9 HALF-DAY CUSCO CITY AND SACSAYHUAMAN TOUR, AFTERNOON AT LEISURE

Morning

In the morning, you will meet your guide for a city tour of Cusco including a visit of the Plaza Mayor, the Cathedral, and the Korikancha, the original Temple of the Sun.

Drive to the hills of Cusco to explore the archaeological sites of Sacsayhuaman.

Transfer back to your hotel or to the city centre (20 min).

Day 10 FLIGHT TO LA PAZ, ACCLIMATIZATION IN LA PAZ

Morning

Transfer to the Cusco airport for your direct flight to La Paz (1 hour). 

Arrival to the El Alto International Airport, meet and greet with your private guide, and transfer to the city of La Paz (45 min).

Afternoon

Free afternoon to acclimatize yourself. La Paz is the highest capital in the world with an altitude of 11,940 ft (3640 metres).

To avoid altitude sickness (common when landing in La Paz), we strongly advise against any strong physical effort or any alcohol consumption.

Day 11 FLIGHT TO UYUNI, UYUNI SALT FLAT, INCAHUASI ISLAND, SAN PEDRO DE QUEMES BURNED VILLAGE

Morning

Morning transfer to La Paz aiport for your direct flight to the town of Uyuni (1 hour).

Meet and greet with your local guide and transfer to the small town of Colchani (15 min).

Learn about the Colchani salt cooperative and how it extracts and processes 25,000 tons of Uyuni salt every year (20 min).

Free time to tour the souvenir market (30 min).

Your 4x4 tour will take you to the Uyuni Salt Flats, the world's largest salt flat covering 4,086 square miles (10,582 square km) with several stops for photo opportunities along the way.

Drive on the salt flats on your way to Incahuasi Island also known as the Isla del Pescado (Fish Island).

Afternoon

Enjoy some free time to climb to the top of the hill and explore this strange mound covered in cactuses.

Note: Incahuasi Island may not be accessible during the wet season.

Your next 2-hour drive will take you out of the salt flats for a short visit of the 'burned town' of San Pedro de Quemes (30 min).

Day 12 NORTH LIPEZ LAGOONS AND SILOLI DESERT

Morning

Hop in your 4x4 to explore North Lipez, a region surrounded by impressive volcanic cones and dotted with numerous lagoons hosting colonies of flamingos (4-hour drive).

Numerous stops along the way to photograph the colorful lagoons of Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiar Khota, Honda and Ramaditas.

Afternoon

Departure for the "Paseo del León", a tan and beige canyon with many natural rock shelters that contrast beautifully with the greenery of the giant 'Yareta' (3-hour drive).

Arrival and check in at your hotel in the Siloli Desert.

Day 13 EDUARDO ABAROA ANDEAN FAUNA NATIONAL RESERVE, ARBOL DE PIEDRA, SOL DE MANANA GEYSERS, DALI DESERT, LAGUNA VERDE, LAGUNA COLORADA

Morning

In the morning leave for the Eduardo Abaroa National Reserve.

Drive through the Siloli Desert, famous for its unique rock formation, the "Arbol de Piedra" (The Stone Tree).

Stop at the geothermal field of Sol de Manana to see the active geysers.

Relax by the Polkes Laguna where you can go for a swim in its warm thermal waters.

Drive through the Salvador Dali Desert, also known as Dali Valley, where strange rock formations have a strong semblance to the paintings of the Spanish artist.

On approaching the Chilean border, you will discover the stunning emerald waters of the Laguna Verde (Green Lagoon) standing right next to the Licancábur volcano.

Afternoon

Marvel at one of Bolivia's greatest natural wonder: The Laguna Colorada (the Red Lagoon) which goes from orange to red depending on the time of day.

Drive back to Uyuni (4 hours).

Day 14 FLIGHT TO LA PAZ, CITY-TOUR, MOON VALLEY

Morning

Transfer to the Uyuni airport (10 min) for your flight to La Paz (1 hour).

Arrival in the El Alto airport, transfer to the city of La Paz (45'). Follow the Republican colonial circuit on foot, starting at Murillo Square, the city's original central square.

Pass by the Government Palace, the Legislative Assembly and the city's Cathedral.

Continue to the Witches' Market, the main craft market, and the Church of San Francisco, whose unique facade is decorated with indigenous patterns (about 3 hours).

Afternoon

Afternoon transfer to the Moon Valley (30 min south of La Paz).

Discover a unique place, a real lunar landscape adorned with eroded sedimentary formations, fairy chimneys, and high spires (2 hours).

Transfer back to your hotel in La Paz (30 min).
