Stop by AquaRio, South America’s largest aquarium, to learn about the thousands of species that live in the depths of Brazil’s waters. Soccer fanatics will appreciate a behind-the-scenes tour of Maracanã Stadium, which famously hosted a number of World Cup matches. Visit Iguazu Falls, the largest waterfall system in the world, from both the Argentinean and Brazilian sides, and keep your eyes peeled for monkey and toucan sightings throughout. Then discover the islands of Brazil on a schooner tour of Paraty Bay, where you’ll have plenty of time for swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing. Itinerary

Day 1 ARRIVAL IN RIO DE JANEIRO, JEEP TOUR TO CORCOVADO AND SUGARLOAF MOUNTAIN

Morning

Arrival at Rio de Janeiro international airport.

Meet and greet with your private English-speaking guide.

Transfer to your hotel. Check-in and installation. (Check-in available at 2pm)
Enjoy some free time to recover from your trip.

Afternoon

Pick up at your hotel between 1 and 2pm.
Visit the two icons of altitude in the city! With this tour, you'll get all the best possible views of the bay, the beaches, the coastlines, the stunning rock formations, the geography, the communities and neighborhoods that make up the fabric Rio.

Day 2 FREE MORNING, AQUARIUM, RIO STAR BIG WHEEL, BRAZILIAN DANCE SHOW

Morning

Morning at leisure.

Suggestion : Pedals at the Lagoa : Parque dos Patins is the largest park in Lagoa and lies across the Jockey Club. It features a large roller skate rink, a playground for children, gourmet food kiosks and areas for bicycle rides and pedal boat rides.

Afternoon

Pick up at your hotel after your lunch.
Visit the largest aquarium in South America downtown Rio. You can get an up-close look at some 350 different species (there are more than 8000 animals in all), spread among two dozen different tanks. The highlight is a 3.5-million-liter aquarium with a tunnel through the middle that gives fine views of sharks, rays and shimmering schools of fish gliding past. Visitors will certainly have a unique experience in this place as they observe these magnificent species from large windows and an underwater tunnel 20 metres long.

Evening

Departure at 8:30 pm (taxi at your own expenses to be booked by the hotel) from the hotel to Ginga Tropical Show where you will enjoy a traditional Brazilian dance show made of samba, capoeira, forró, lambada, and others (1 hour 30 min).
Show ends at 11pm. Taxi back to the hotel (to be booked at the show).

Day 3 MARACANA STADIUM, FLIGHT TO FOZ DO IGUACU

Morning

Visit the Maracanã : the maximum soccer Brazilian temple.

The Maracanã Tour will take you and your kids behind the scenes of the most famous stadium in the world. Visitors are aware of the permanent exhibition that brings together important pieces of Brazilian football history, such as Garrincha’s uniform at the 1962 World Cup, as well as the footmarks of idols such as Roberto Dinamite and Pelé. The press room and the iconic lawn are also part of the tour.

Afternoon

Transfer to Rio de Janeiro airport.
Direct flight to Foz do Iguaçu (2 hours 15 min).
Meet and greet with your private English-speaking guide.
Transfer to your hotel. Check-in and installation.

Day 4 IGUAZU FALLS: ARGENTINAN SIDE OF THE FALLS

Morning

Morning departure to The Iguazú National Park (25 min). There are 160 to 260 waterfalls that can be viewed from the Argentinean side of the falls. On top of being the most spectacular waterfall system in the world, its location at the heart of a subtropical rainforest makes it an incredible place to explore with over 2,000 species of plants and amazing endemic wildlife such as tapirs, giant anteaters, howler monkeys, ocelots, jaguars,  and caymans.
Make your way to the falls walking on a series of boardwalks that cross the forest to access the banks of the river where you can get spectacular views of the falls. At the entrance of the Park, a train takes visitors to different paths that all lead to incredible viewpoints. Do not miss the most impressive waterfall, la Garganta del Diablo (The Devil's Throat), with its sheer 260-foot drop (80 metres). Enjoy the fun of exploring the many bridges, balconies, and stairwells that eventually lead to the upper circuit, getting to the top of the falls for impressive views.

Afternoon

In the afternoon you will join the 'Ecological Trip', a relaxing sailing experience starting from the Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat) train station. Your boat will take you to the many islands on the Upper Iguazu River. This tour is a great way to discover the rich environment that surrounds the falls with its unique fauna and flora. Your local expert guide will reveal the secrets of the jungle that lie off the beaten track. This peaceful journey will end at the Tres Marías Port, from where you will walk back to the Waterfall Station, the starting point of traditional walking circuits.
At the end of the afternoon, transfer to Foz do Iguaçu (25 min).

Day 5 IGUAZU FALLS: BRAZILIAN SIDE OF THE FALLS & BIRDS PARK

Morning

Half-day tour to Iguaçu National Park on the Brazilian side of the falls. The Park offers scenic views of the incredible Iguazú Falls. After you transfer to the Park's interpretive center, you will board a “double-decker” bus for a 3-mile drive into the rainforest where paths provide excellent views of the falls.

Afternoon

Before crossing back to Argentina, stop to visit the colorful Parque Das Aves, a zoo dedicated to the preservation of many species of birds, both native and exotic.
Unique colorful tropical birds fly over large nurseries blending in the lush subtropical forest. Visitors can enter these nurseries and get up close with the winged residents. Other intriguing locals include boas, anacondas, yacarés, marmosets and butterflies.

Day 6 FLIGHT TO RIO DE JANEIRO, TRANSFER TO PARATY

Morning

Transfer to the airport of Foz do Iguaçu, check in and flight to Rio de Janeiro (1 hour 50 min).
Arrival at Rio de Janeiro airport.
Welcoming and transfer to Paraty (4 to 5 hours). The drive to the small coastal town goes through one of the most scenic roads in Brazil on the Rio-Santos route.

Afternoon

Check-in and installation at your hotel in Paraty.
Rest of the day is free to explore the historic center of Paraty and its harmonious architectural ensemble of the 18th century.

Day 7 PARATY: SCHOONER TOUR ON THE BAY OF PARATY

Morning

In the morning, meet at the main pier of Paraty where you will board your Schooner for your full day cruise through the bay of Paraty. Explore some of Paraty’s most beautiful beaches along the coast and stop to visit two of the 65 islands of the bay. Lunch will be served on board the ship. The trip lasts around 5 hours with 4 stops of about 40 minutes, plenty of time for swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing.

Afternoon

Sail back to the pier late in the afternoon and enjoy some free time to relax and soak in the sunset.

Day 8 CAR AND BOAT TRANSFER TO ILHA GRANDE

Morning

In the morning, regular transfer to Angra do Reis (1 hour 30 min).

Afternoon

Ferry transfer from Angra dos Reis to Vila Abrãao, the main ferry terminal on Ilha Grande.
On the island, a bilingual guide will greet you on arrival and direct you to your hotel.

Free afternoon to enjoy the island and its beautiful beaches.

Day 9 ILHA GRANDE: DAYTRIP TO LOPES MENDES BEACH

Sail and hike to Lopes Mendes beach, a pristine 2-mile oceanic beach. With plenty of shade where the lush forest meets the warm sand, enjoy a relaxing day on one of Brazil's 10 most beautiful beaches with refreshing swims in the turquoise waters (6 hours).

Afternoon

Back to your hotel late in the afternoon, time to relax and enjoy the sunset.
