Day 1 ARRIVAL AND SOUTHERN BUENOS AIRES CITY-TOUR

Morning

Arrival at Ezeiza, Buenos Aires' international airport.

Meet and greet with your private English-speaking guide.

Transfer to the city centre (45 min).

Afternoon

Discover the capital's main square, La Plaza de Mayo, from where the Avenida de Mayo, Buenos Aires's main avenue starts. All the landmarks of the nation's history can be found here: among which are La Casa Rosada, the seat of the Government, the white Cabildo, a historic place of administrative power now a museum retracing the history of the city and the city's imposing cathedral.

Later, take time to wander the streets of San Telmo, the neighborhood where the city's most illustrious families used to live which is also the cradle of tango. Nowadays, the cobbled streets are lined by antique stores and secondhand dealers.

Your next stop will be in La Boca, a typical and colorful neighborhood whose atmosphere reminds us of the strong influence of European emigrants, mainly Italian, on the city's history. Visit the famous 'Caminito', a street much like an open-air museum and stop by 'La Bombonera', the world-famous soccer stadium of La Boca.

Your tour will finish in Puerto Madero, a pioneer project for the rehabilitation of the old docks of the city that was started in the 90s. The modern feel of the area remains loyal to its maritime merchant past, but all new buildings now host restaurants, bars and luxury apartments.

Day 2 MORNING TOUR IN TIGRE, FREE AFTERNOON, TANGO SHOW DINNER

Morning

Morning transfer to the peaceful town of Tigre (1 hour). Named after the jaguars, this town is locally known as 'Tigres'.

The Paraná Delta is the only one in the world that continues to move forward. Naturally hostile and very wild, this beautiful part of the province of Buenos Aires was particularly well fitted and preserves its harmony.

You will enjoy a boat trip on the river (1 hour) to explore the Delta, its islands and its unique flora.

Afternoon

Transfer back to Buenos Aires (1 hour).

Rest of the afternoon is free to enjoy at your own leisure.

Evening

At about 8pm, transfer to a traditional café where you will spend the evening (10 min).

Dinner at a 100-year-old tango institution in the capital, followed by a 1h30 tango-show.

At about 11pm, transfer to your hotel (10 min).

Day 3 FLIGHT TO PUERTO IGUAZU, IGUAZU FALLS (BRAZILIAN SIDE)

Passport is required for crossing the Brazilian border and visa requirements exist for certain nationalities

Morning

Private transfer from the hotel to Buenos Aires airport (AEP).

Direct flight to Puerto Iguazu (1 hour 50 min).

Meet and greet with your local host, transfer to your hotel (30 min).

Afternoon

Transfer across the Brazilian border to get to the other side of the falls (40 min).

The Park offers scenic views of the incredible Iguazú Falls. After you transfer to the Park's interpretive center you will board a “double-decker” bus for a 3-mile drive into the rainforest where paths provide excellent views of the falls.

Evening

Overnight in Puerto Iguazu.

Day 4 FULL DAY TOUR AT IGUAZU FALLS (ARGENTINIAN SIDE)

Morning

Transfer to Iguazu National Park (30 min) on the Argentinian side, where 80% of the waterfalls are located.

Walk along a series of boardwalks to catch spectacular views of the falls and the occasional monkeys and toucans that inhabit the nearby forest.

Enjoy a speed boat ride and be ready to get wet as they take you to the foot of the falls. 

Afternoon

End with a train ride to the Devil's Throat, the tallest of all the waterfalls with a sheer 260-foot drop (80 metres).

At the end of the afternoon, transfer to Puerto Iguazu (30 min).

Day 5 FLIGHT TO SALTA

Morning

Private transfer from the hotel to Puerto Iguazú airport.

Domestic direct flight from Iguazú to Salta (2 hours 5 minutes).

Day 6 FULL DAY EXCURSION TO CAFAYATE

Morning

The journey starts in Salta city to the south through the fertile Lerma Valley along the National Route 68.

Passing by several villages such as Cerrillos, La Merced and El Carril (all allocated to agricultural and livestock activities), we reach the solitary town of Alemania. After an 83 kilometers drive journey we get to Las Conchas Gorge which immediately precedes the Calchaqui Valley.

The wind and rain erosion though million years are responsible of capricious formations as the Devil´s Throat, the Amphitheater (a formation with excellent acoustics), El Sapo (The Frog) and El Fraile (The Friar) among others.

The arid landscape gradually morph into vineyard areas that continuous even inside Cafayate, a little colonial town which dates back to the late 19th Century and is one of the most popular regions in the Calchaqui Valley.

We will visit the wine center of the province, particularly famous for the "Torrontés" wine variety. In the town we will visit a winery where the whole wine production process will be explained to the passenger, as well as some wineries offer a small tasting as a courtesy. 

Afternoon

After lunch time we will return to Salta by the same road.

Day 7 Full day excursion to Salinas Grandes via Purmamarca

Morning

The Cuesta de Lipán is a winding road that descends a remarkable 6,500 feet (2,000 meters) over just 14 miles (22 kilometers). As you travel along this route, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views and the chance to observe majestic condors soaring above. The journey highlights a striking contrast between the arid desert landscape of the Puna and the lush, fertile valleys below.

Afternoon

The Salinas Grandes is a vast expanse of brilliant white salt flats where the setting sun paints the horizon in a spectrum of colors. Even today, the Salinas Grandes are harvested using ancient techniques, often under challenging conditions. On your way, you'll pass through the Cuesta de Lipán, marveling at its dramatic descent and the surrounding natural beauty.

Afterward, you will return to Salta.

Day 8 SALTA HALF-DAY CITY TOUR, FREE AFTERNOON, BUS RIDE TO SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA

Morning

This half-day tour of Salta and its surroundings is perfect for first-time visitors. In just three hours, you'll experience a rich blend of our history and architectural heritage. The tour includes a visit to the heart of the city, where the main square, Salta Cathedral, and Cabildo offer glimpses into our past. You’ll also explore architectural gems like the Church of San Francisco and the San Bernardo Convent, both recognized as historic monuments. The tour highlights include a stop at the monument of General Güemes, a revered figure in our history.

From San Bernardo Hill, you can take in panoramic views of the city, while the nearby village of San Lorenzo offers a taste of its unique charm. The tour concludes with a visit to the Artisan Market, located in an old flour mill, where you’ll find a wide array of traditional handicrafts from the province.

Afternoon

Enjoy a free afternoon to stroll the streets of Salta and visit the fascinating Museum of High Altitude Archaeology (MAAM).

Evening

Transfer from hotel to Salta bus terminal.

Departure by bus at 1am to San Pedro de Atacama (10 hours 30 minutes).

Day 9 ARRIVAL IN ATACAMA, Sunset Moon valley tour and Astronomic tour

Morning

Arrival at 11:30am in Atacama. 

Private transfer to your hotel. 

Afternoon

Departure to the Cordillera de la Sal, where we will visit two sectors, the Valley of the Moon. First we will visit the great dune to contemplate the great central crater of the Valley of the Moon with beautiful shapes and colors where we can walk between the hills and cuts of mountains produced by the erosion of water and wind, from this place it is also possible to contemplate the amphitheater, we will have a visit to the high viewpoint to finish in a high point to see the sunset and the change of color in the Cordillera of the Andes.

Day 10 Altiplanic Lagoons, Atacama Salt Flat, Toconao

Morning

Departure from San Pedro de Atacama to the south over 4,000 meters above sea level we visit the blue lagoons of Miscanti and Meñiques surrounded by volcanoes and populated by Andean birds flamingos, breakfast is served. We continue along the route to Socaire, a town of pre-Hispanic origin, settlement of the Atacameño altitude, highlighting its traditional system of cultivation through terraces, typical Atacameño style houses of stones with mud and wood roofing. Then on our way back we visit the Salar de Atacama protected area by the Conaf which presents a landscape of salt crusts, in addition to lagoons with surface salt in formation and birds adapted to live in brackish water as the flamingo.

Afternoon

We visit Toconao, small colonial town with picturesque buildings of liparita stone and the old church of San Lucas, to continue to the old forest sector that belongs to the Quebrada de Jerez, beautiful place of cultivation watered by the Toconao River. It has a special microclimate for the production of fruits such as pears and quinces.

Day 11 Tatio Geysers, Machuca, and Cejar, Tebenquinche Lagoons

Morning

Early departure to the highest peaks of the Andes to reach the geothermal field Geiser del Tatio, located at 4,321 meters above sea level. It is a geothermal field linked to the Tatio volcano. Steam jets emerge from boiling water wells, you arrive at dawn to see the geysers when all the geothermal force is concentrated: moment in which its steam columns can reach a height of almost 6 meters.

Breakfast served outside the geothermal field.

Afternoon

Visit Cejar Lagoon, a natural place of spectacular beauty, with high saline levels, which can be observed from viewpoints that are on the entrance trail. After a short walk along the trail, we arrive at Laguna Piedra where you can experience floating in the waters of high salt level similar to the dead sea. Afterwards we will continue to Laguna Tebinquiche and eyes of the Salar.     

Return to San Pedro de Atacama.

Day 12 FLIGHT TO LIMA

Morning

In the morning, transfer to Calama airport for your flight to Lima (connecting in Santiago).

Transfer to your hotel located in the residential and shopping district of Miraflores overlooking the Pacific ocean (1 hour).

Day 13 LIMA CITY TOUR, FLIGHT TO CUSCO, TRANSFER TO THE SACRED VALLEY

Morning

City tour by car around Miraflores upmarket district, famous for its 'Malecon' (the strand) and Larcomar, the huge iconic shopping center overlooking the ocean. 

Drive along the Huaca Pucllana archaeological site before heading to Lima's historical center (30 min).

The city founded in 1535 by the Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro, still features many invaluable colonial buildings along the main square (the Plaza Mayor) and the nearby streets.

Discover Lima's Cathedral, the Government Palace, and the San Francisco Convent among many other impressive colonial buildings. 

Afternoon

In the afternoon, transfer to Lima airport (40 min to 1 hour) for your flight to Cusco (1 hour 15 min).

Arrival in Cusco (11,152 ft - 3400 m) where you will be welcome by your local driver and guide.

Transfer to your hotel in the Sacred Valley (1 hour 30 min).

Day 14 SACRED VALLEY: PISAC RUINS AND MARKET, OLLANTAYTAMBO FORTRESS

Morning

In the morning, drive from your hotel to the village of Pisac (1 hour) famous for its Sunday market where many indigenous Quechua communities meet to sell and trade their goods. 

The rest of the week, the whole place is bustling with a large handicraft and souvenir market. You will have time to search for jewellery, ponchos, hats, traditional music instruments, ceramics, alpaca products and many other typical Andean crafts (1 hour 30 min).

Visit Pisaqa, Intihuatana, Q’allaqasa, and Kinchiracay. (1 hour 30 min). All 4 places are part of an Inca site on the nearby hill at an altitude of 10,980 feet (3345 m).

The hill was shaped during Inca times by carving ingenious terraces that are still used for agriculture to this day.

With military, religious, and agricultural structures, the site was an important and busy place for the Inca empire.

Afternoon

In the afternoon, transfer to Ollantaytambo, a fortified city built during the reign of Pachacutec, the most powerful Inca emperor.

Explore this quaint settlement with an interesting orthogonal layout (30 min).

Climb the Temple Hill known as the fortress to learn about the purpose of those inca constructions (1 hour 30 min).

Day 15 MACHU PICCHU TOUR

Morning

Your passport is required to enter the Machu Picchu site. You have the option to get a 'Machu Picchu' stamp in your passport if you wish.

Today might be THE day you have been expecting since you landed on Peruvian soil as you will finally discover the ancient citadel of Machu Picchu

Transfer to Ollantaytambo train station (30 min).

Board the comfortable train that will take you to Aguas Calientes, the nearest town to Machu Picchu (1 hour 30 min).

In Aguas Calientes, walk from the train to the bus station (5 min) and hop on a bus to the entrance of the archaeological site.

Afternoon

Enjoy the impressive 20-minute drive up the hill to the Machu Picchu site at 7,972 feet (2430 m). Rediscovered in 1911 by the American archaeologist Hiram Bingham, Macchu Picchu is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Learn about every secret this ancient Inca citadel holds and grab every opportunity to take photographs (3 to 4 hours).

Take the bus back to Aguas Calientes (20 min) and board the train back to Ollantaytambo (1 hour 30 min).

Day 16 HALF-DAY CUSCO CITY AND RUINS TOUR, FREE AFTERNOON

In the morning, you will meet your guide for a city tour of Cusco including the visit of the Plaza Mayor, the Cathedral and the Korikancha, the original Temple of the Sun.

Drive to the hills of Cusco to explore the archaeological sites of Sacsayhuamán.

Transfer back to your hotel or to the city centre (20 min).

Afternoon

Afternoon at leisure to explore the Spanish colonial city known to the Inca as the 'belly button of the world'.

Stroll around numerous plazas, shops selling incredible art and crafts or visit the great Pre-Columbian Museum MAP (not included).
