Tour Description

The Inkaterra Hacienda Concepción is a welcoming haven located on a 440-acre natural reserve (380 hectares) covered in the primary rainforest around a mesmerizing 'cocha', a natural oxbow lake.

It is home to diverse ecosystems, tropical plants, and wildlife. The lodge acts as a buffer zone between the Tambopata National Reserve and the banks of the Madre de Dios River, making the location of Inkaterra Hacienda Concepción a privileged one.

Built on a former cacao and rubber plantation, the immediate surroundings of this family-friendly lodge provide easy access to the biodiversity of the rainforest as you explore the land and river nearby.

Spot giant river otters, blue and yellow macaws, dusky titi monkeys, paiches, agoutis, two-toed sloths, peccaries, hoatzins, flycatchers, black caimans, ladder-tailed nightjar, and many more exotic creatures along the way.

In 2003, the Inkaterra Asociación (ITA) NGO together with ACEER (Amazon Center for Education and Environmental Research) formed an alliance with the aim of promoting the conservation of ecosystems and natural resources in the Tambopata reserve.

Your comfortable cabaña with forest view will be the perfect starting point for your Amazon jungle experience!
