Cruise Description

Explore the Peruvian Amazon on this four-day Aqua Nera Amazon River cruise, the most exclusive way to discover the gems of the Amazon rainforest. Begin with a tour of historic Iquitos, then board the Aqua Nera and settle into one of 20 sophisticated suites. Relax in a host of elegant lounging spaces, including a plunge pool on the sun deck, or indulge in a movie under the stars at the outdoor cinema. Explore the Yarapa River on a skiff, and delight in the trills of tropical songbirds, as well as sightings of the black collared hawk and the elusive sloth. If you’re brave enough, try fishing for piranhas, one of the most feared creatures in the Amazon. Then kick back and sail to Lake Clavero for a swim in the refreshing waters. Glide along the black water tributaries of the Yanallpa River, and when night falls, go on a nighttime safari on the El Dorado River in search of caimans, bats, and tarantulas. Disembark in Nauta for your onward journey. Along the way, visit the Manatee Rescue Center,  and learn how biologists are rescuing and rehabilitating young manatees, and re-releasing them into the wild.
