Tour Description

One astonishing fact about the small country of Ecuador is that it has one of the highest concentrations of volcanoes which include the highest volcanic cones in the world.

Over time the incredible explosive activity has shaped the many valleys and lakes that make Ecuador such an interesting country for hikers and adventurers alike.

Along the Avenues of the Volcanoes, a valley road stuck in between the two mountain ranges that cross the whole of the South American continent, lies Lake Quilotoa, a mesmerizing colorful lagoon that filled the crater of the extinct Quilotoa volcano long ago.

Only a short drive south of Quito, through astounding scenery, you will get to the start of your 4-day adventure on the world-famous Quilotoa loop.

This is a comfortable trek that goes through pastoral land, small villages, and an amazing background of snow-peaked volcanoes with the luxury of being able to spend your nights in cozy lodges with hearty food to fuel your body and soul.

Often considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, Quilotoa is an experience not to be missed for the avid hiker.
