Morning
Morning pick up from your hotel in La Paz to go to Condoriri National Park (approximately 3 hours 30 min drive).
You will be dropped at the Tuni community at 14,435 feet above sea level (4400m), where you will start your hike through breathtaking landscapes. The first 20 minutes will take you to the Tuni Laguna. Walk around the lagoon and its natural dam on your way to the Kuntur Pass at 16,161 feet (4926 m) above sea level.
The track continues until you reach Jurikota, a small lake where you will take a short break.
The hike will then lead you to the 15,321 foot-high (4670m) Chiar Khota Lagoon whose beautiful green tones light up the base of the Tuni Condoriri whose Aymara name hints to the condor shape of the peak. This lagoon also has the particularity of being salty: the combination of dry air and altitude, contribute to water evaporation and over time have raising the salt pH of the lake. On a clear day you can see the reflection of the giant Tuni on the calm waters.
Afternoon
Enjoy your boxlunch in this wonderful environment and make use of your free time to capture the beauty of the place, an ideal landscape for photography. Your last bit of hiking for the day will take you to the northern side of the Lagoon to reach the base camp.
Evening
Bivouac set up, dinner and overnight in Chiarkota Lagoon.
