After a heart-warming and tasteful cultural experience at a local hacienda, you will fly to one of the world's Seven Wonders of Nature, the dwarfing Iguazu Falls. Take every opportunity to enjoy this natural monument from every angle, hiking through the lush rainforest or sailing up the river and marvel at the exotic wildlife that abounds in the area.

Itinerary

Day 1 ARRIVAL IN BUENOS AIRES, CYCLING TOUR

Morning

Arrival at Ezeiza, Buenos Aires international airport. Meet and greet with your private English-speaking guide. Transfer to your hotel in the city centre (45 min).

Buenos Aires cycling Tour: History & Culture (5 hours)
Explore the historic neighborhoods of the Argentinean capital by bike and pedal your way through the Plaza de Mayo, the historic center, Puerto Madero, Caminito, La Boca and San Telmo.

After meeting on Avenue Hipólito Yrigoyen you will cycle towards the center, with a stop at La Manzana de las Luces, where some of the oldest buildings in the capital testify of the country’s rich history of culture, politics and education.
At the emblematic Plaza de Mayo, learn about some of the most important events in the history of the Republic, from the founding of the city in the colonial era up till now.
Your tour will then take you to Puerto Madero, where millions have been invested to turn this long-abandoned area of Buenos Aires into the city’s most sought-after neighborhood and one of the most expensive real estate in Latin-America.

From there head towards the Reserva Ecológica Costanera Sur along the River Plate, where you will enjoy a hot ‘mate’ (Argentina’s traditional hot drink) together with some alfajores (Argentina’s famous cookie).

Afternoon

After this light snack you will cycle to La Boca with a stop at the Lezama Park, a place that conjures up many interesting stories.

Leave your bikes to walk around El Caminito, this picturesque and colorful part of the city with its quaint little streets and brightly painted houses.
Another short ride will take you to la Bombonera, the world-famous soccer stadium and on the way back from La Boca, you will go through the beautiful bohemian neighborhood of San Telmo, one of the oldest barrios in the city with its antique shops and the Plaza Dorrego, a real Porteño square.
Your cycling tour will conclude once you loop back to the starting point.

Day 2 KAYAK IN TIGRE, TANGO SHOW

Morning

Pick up your bike at the meeting point in Palermo and cycle to the train station, where you will board a train to Tigre. There you will ride to a local sailing club on the banks of the river where your kayak tour through the Delta will start.

Paddling on the Delta of Tigre, you will explore many canals and quiet streams, among which the local islanders have preserved their traditional way of life.

Afternoon

Back on the mainland, you will have a well-deserved lunch at a local restaurant, to fuel up for the journey back to Buenos Aires.

Your train ride will stop at La Lucila station, passing through residential areas along the banks of the River Plate. There you will stop to visit the locals’ favorite parks, such as the Víal Costero and the Bosques de Palermo.

Evening

An experience that no one should miss on their visit to Buenos Aires is a tango night out. Indulge in a three-course dinner with an exciting tango performance, showcasing exceptional dancers accompanied by traditional pieces of the Argentinean musical genre. Sit back and enjoy the show from the comfort of your seat at La Ventana, a historic tango venue located in the San Telmo district, where you will dine, sample excellent Argentinean wines and lose yourself in the passion of tango.

Day 3 GAUCHO PARTY

Morning

In the morning, your English-speaking drive-guide will pick you up from your hotel in Buenos Aires to take you to the Estancia “Santa Susana” (1 hour).

Your activities during the day will include a tour of the facilities, an equestrian show and the time for a short horse ride.

A traditional lunch revolving around the 'asado' (the barbecue) will showcase world-famous Argentinean grilled meats accompanied by a performance of traditional folk songs.

Afternoon

In the afternoon you will drive back to your hotel (1 hour).

Day 4 FLIGHT TO IGUAZU

Morning

Morning transfer to Buenos Aires domestic airport and assistance with check-in (30 min).

Direct flight to Puerto Iguazu, border city with Brazil and Paraguay (1 hour 50 min).

Afternoon

Transfer to your hotel (30 min).

Evening

Day 5 FULL DAY TOUR AT IGUAZU FALLS ARGENTINA

Morning

Transfer to Iguazu National Park (15 min) on the Argentinian side, where 80% of the waterfalls are located.

Iguazú National Park is home to up to 260 waterfalls. It is one of the most spectacular waterfall system in the world. The surrounding subtropical rainforest hosts over 2,000 species of plants and is home to endemic wildlife such as tapirs, giant anteaters, howler monkeys, ocelots, jaguars and caymans.

Walk along a series of boardwalks to catch spectacular views of the falls and the occasional monkeys and toucans that inhabit the nearby forest.
For the adventurous traveler, speed boat rides are available (not included). Be ready to get wet as the jet boat takes you to the foot of the falls.
End with a train ride to the Devil's Throat, the tallest of all the waterfalls with a sheer 260-foot drop (80 metres).

Afternoon

Then, you will ride into the thick jungle on board a special all-terrain truck on the Yacaratiá trail.
The 3-mile track ends in Puerto Macuco where you will board your boat to sail along the Lower Iguazu River for a total of 4 miles, heading towards the waterfalls, passing through many rapids.

At the end of the afternoon, transfer back to Puerto Iguazu (25 min).

Day 6 HALF-DAY TOUR AT IGUAZU FALLS IN BRAZIL

Don't forget your passport/visa as you will cross the Brazilian border to get to the other side of the falls.

Remember to bring a change of clothes and swimsuit!

Morning

After breakfast, transfer across the Brazilian border to get to the other side of the falls (40 min).

Half-day tour in the Iguaçu National Park on the Brazilian side of the falls. The Park offers scenic views of the incredible Iguazú Falls. After you transfer to the Park's interpretive center you will board a “double-decker” bus for a 3-mile drive into the rainforest where paths provide excellent views of the falls.

Afternoon

Before crossing back to Argentina, stop to visit the colorful Parque Das Aves, a zoo dedicated to the preservation of many species of birds, both native and exotic.

Unique colorful tropical birds fly over large nurseries blending in the lush subtropical forest. Visitors can enter these nurseries and get up close with the winged residents. Other intriguing locals include boas, anacondas, yacarés, marmosets and butterflies.

Transfer to Puerto Iguazu (40 min).

Day 7 JUNGLE TREK IN IGUAZU NATIONAL PARK

Transfer to Iguazu National Park on the Argentinian side (25 min).

Free day inside the National Park.
Option 1: Spend more time walking on the ''pasarelas'' again.
Option 2: Hike the Macuco Trail. This trail passes through the thick jungle and leads to the falls only 65 feet away.
