Explore one of the most unique places on the South American continent, the northwest of Argentina with its infinite variety of landscapes. Marvel at the fascinating assortment of otherworldly colors of the ochre deserts of Quebrada de las Conchas and Humahuaca, the charcoal-grey lava flows devoid of any life form, the blindingly white salt flats of Salinas Grandes and sooty-black volcanic cones, the pristine limewashed colonial chapels set against striped mountainsides, the lush citrus groves and emerald-green sugar plantations and the impenetrable jungles populated by peccaries and parakeets. The country's Andean influence can still be felt strongly among the area's indigenous communities that produce traditional handicrafts with Inca ruins in the background set against the high and arid Puna.

Itinerary

Day 1 ARRIVAL IN BUENOS AIRES

Morning

Arrival at Ezeiza, Buenos Aires international airport. Meet and greet with your private English-speaking guide. Transfer to your hotel in the city centre.

City Tour: visit the traditional and historical neighborhoods of the Argentinean capital. Starting with the city's main square, the Plaza de Mayo where the Avenida de Mayo starts, Buenos Aires's historic avenue. Pass the Casa Rosada, the seat of the Government, the white Cabildo, a historic place of administrative power and now transformed into a small museum of the history of the city, and finally the imposing cathedral.

Make your way to San Telmo, a neighborhood known for hosting the great families that founded the city and the cradle of the tango. Its cobbled streets are now occupied by artisans and secondhand goods dealers. This neighborhood is very popular for its colonial architecture and history; it is also very famous for the craft fair on Sunday.

Afternoon

From there you will visit La Boca located at the southern edge of the city by the Riachuelo river. La Boca is a typical and colorful neighborhood, where the nostalgic image of the arrival of European emigrants, mainly Italian still lingers. La Boca has become very touristic. We will mainly visit the famous "Caminito" or the international well-known stadium of the Boca Juniors team accompanied by a tango atmosphere.
Finish your visit with a stop at Puerto Madero, home of a pioneer project for the rehabilitation of the old docks of the city that was started in the 90s. An interesting blend of highly modern architecture and entertainment offers that remains loyal to its maritime merchant past where restaurants, bars and luxury sit side by side.

Evening

Spice up your evening with a Tango night out, an experience that no one should miss on their visit to Buenos Aires. Indulge in a three-course dinner with an exciting tango performance, showcasing exceptional dancers accompanied by traditional pieces of the Argentinean musical genre. Sit back and enjoy the show from the comfort of your seat in a historic tango venue where you will dine, sample excellent Argentinean wines and lose yourself in the passion of tango.
