Day 1 ARRIVAL IN BUENOS AIRES, TRANSFER TO YOUR HOTEL

Arrival at Ministro Pistarini, Ezeiza international airport.

Welcome by our local English-speaking staff. 

Transfer to your hotel located in Buenos Aires downtown.

Day 2 FULL DAY CITY TOUR WITH LA RECOLETA CEMETERY

Morning

Discover the historical center on a guided walking tour that will take you through the emblematic Plaza de Mayo and stop for pictures in front of la Casa Rosada, the pink Presidential Palace. 

Drive to San Telmo, the city's oldest neighborhood with its many busy cafes, tango parlors and antique shops lining the cobblestone colonial streets. A neighborhood much loved by local artists and dancers.

Take time to tango around the colorful 'El Caminito' street, once home to Italian immigrants. 

Afternoon

Discover Puerto Madero, a pioneer project for the rehabilitation of the old docks of the city that emerged in the 90s. In an ultra-modern world, but remaining loyal to its maritime merchant past; restaurants, bars and luxury buildings mix together.

You will then head to La Recoleta, the city's most elite neighborhood. Its cemetery is one of the most famous in the world and the body of the celebrity Evita Peron rests here. The tombs, built in different artistic and architectural styles tell the story of the city and the country. At the entrance of the cemetery is located Our Lady of Pilar, a colonial church of the eighteenth century. The Alvear Avenue has the most beautiful residences and hotels in the city, and numerous art galleries as well. The Carlos Pellegrini Square has its name after a president of the late nineteenth century and creator of the Jockey Club. The Embassies of France and Brazil are located at this place in mansions previously owned by well-known families of the city.

Day 3 GAUCHO DAY IN THE COUNTRYSIDE

Morning

Spend the day in full contact with nature, with the traditions and typical food of the Argentine countryside (1 hour 30 min from Buenos Aires).

You will be welcomed with empanadas and drinks before experiencing horse riding. 

Horseback or carriage rides that take you around the property’s 300 hectares, where you can see a typical Argentine estancia in action. Cows, sheep, horses and birds will all be seen, including some of planted fields.

Afternoon

Free afternoon for you to enjoy the hacienda's facilities: swimming pools, bicycles, soccer and volleyball courts, pool table, ping pong, table soccer, sun loungers and more.

Drive back to Buenos Aires (1 hour 30 min).

Day 4 HALF DAY TIGRE TOUR WITH DELTA BOAT-TRIP, TANGO SHOW

Located at the southern end of the Río Paraná Delta (40 min from Buenos Aires), Tigre is the capital of the territory of the same name and is located about 40 km from Buenos Aires. The Paraná Delta is the only one in the world that continues to move forward. Naturally hostile and very wild, this beautiful part of the province of Buenos Aires was particularly well fitted and preserves its harmony.

During you will enjoy a 1-hour boat trip on the river to explore the Delta, its islands and its unique flora.

Evening

An experience that no one should miss on their visit to Buenos Aires is a Tango night out. Indulge in a three-course dinner with an exciting Tango performance, showcasing exceptional dancers accompanied by traditional pieces of the Argentinean musical genre.

Day 5 FLIGHT TO PUERTO IGUAZU

Morning

Free morning in Buenos Aires. 

Afternoon

Private transfer from the hotel to Buenos Aires airport.

Direct flight to Puerto Iguazu (1 hour 50 min)

Meet and greet with your local host, transfer to your hotel in Puerto Iguazu (30 min).

Day 6 ARGENTINIAN SIDE OF THE FALLS, GREAT ADVENTURE

Morning

Iguazu National Park (15 min) on the Argentinian side. Iguazú National Park is home to up to 260 waterfalls. It is one of the most spectacular waterfall system in the world. The surrounding subtropical rainforest hosts over 2,000 species of plants and is home to endemic wildlife such as tapirs, giant anteaters, howler monkeys, ocelots, jaguars and caymans. Walk along a series of boardwalks to catch spectacular views of the falls and the occasional monkeys and toucans that inhabit the nearby forest. End with a train ride to the Devil's Throat, the tallest of all the waterfalls with a sheer 260-foot drop (80 metres). The tour at Iguazú National Park takes about 5 hours.

Afternoon

Discover the essence of Iguazu National Park: the jungle and the waterfalls. You shall enter the jungle by the Yacaratiá trail in trucks specially designed for this environment. This 5 kms long stretch ends at Puerto Macuco. You will sail on the Lower Iguazu River for as long as 6 kms, heading towards the waterfalls area, enjoying plentiful rapids. Upon reaching the Tres Mosqueteros Fall, visitors shall be able to see the falls of both the Argentine and Brazilian sides crowned by the view of the Garganta del Diablo. At the end of the trip, we shall descend from the boat on the dock located in front of the San Martín Island, where visitors may continue enjoying the landscape joining the runways system of the Lower Circuit.

Recommendation: you will get wet! Remember to bring extra clothes.

Day 7 BRAZILIAN SIDE OF THE FALLS, FREE AFTERNOON

Morning

Transfer across the Brazilian border to get to the other side of the falls (40 min).

Tour in the Iguaçu National Park on the Brazilian side of the falls (the tour takes about 3 hours). The Park offers scenic views of the incredible Iguazú Falls. After you transfer to the Park's interpretive center you will board a “double-decker” bus for a 3-mile drive into the rainforest where paths provide excellent views of the falls.

Attention: passport is required to cross the border. There are some visa requirements for certain nationalities.

Day 8 FLIGHT TO LIMA

Morning

Transfer out to Foz do Iguacu International airport.

Flight to Lima.

Transfer to your hotel located in the residential and shopping district of Miraflores, overlooking the Pacific ocean (1 hour).

Day 9 LIMA CITY TOUR, FLIGHT TO CUSCO, TRANSFER TO THE SACRED VALLEY

Morning

City tour by car around Miraflores upmarket district, famous for its 'Malecon' (the strand) and Larcomar, the huge iconic shopping center overlooking the ocean. 

Drive along the Huaca Pucllana archaeological site before heading to Lima's historical center (30 min). 

The city founded in 1535 by the Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro, still features many invaluable colonial buildings along the main square (the Plaza Mayor) and the nearby streets. 

Discover Lima's Cathedral, the Government Palace and the San Francisco Convent among many other impressive colonial buildings. 

Afternoon

In the afternoon, transfer to Lima airport (40 min to 1 hour) for your flight to Cusco (1 hour 15 min). 

Arrival in Cusco (11,152 ft - 3400 m) where you will be welcome by your local driver and guide. Transfer to your hotel in the Sacred Valley (1 hour 30min).

Day 10 SACRED VALLEY: MARAS SALT MINES AND MORAY ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE, CHINCHERO TOWN

Morning

Visit the incredible site of Maras and tread carefully between the hundreds of salt ponds used to dry the salt according to a method inherited from pre-inca times. The many colors of the polygonal ponds can vary from light reddish to brownish to white according to the season. This contrasts with the surrounding landscape and give the site a most-unusual aspect. Free time to shop pink salt collected by the local community workers.

Transfer to Moray archeological site and discover those impressive circular terraces that were used to conduct scientific and agricultural experiments during Inca times (30 min). 

Afternoon

Finish your tour with a visit of the small town of Chinchero, where the original upper village is an open-air museum. The small cobbled alleyways are lined with craft shops that seem to have been frozen in time. Follow the path that leads to an esplanade where a beautiful white church stands out against the background of the tall Andean mountains.

Day 11 PISAC RUINS AND MARKET, OLLANTAYTAMBO FORTRESS

Morning

In the morning, drive from your hotel to the village of Pisac (1 hour) famous for its Sunday market where many indigenous Quechua communities meet to sell and trade their goods. 

The rest of the week, the whole place is bustling with a large handicraft and souvenir market. You will have time to search for jewellery, ponchos, hats, traditional music instruments, ceramics, alpaca products and many other typical Andean crafts (1 hour 30 min). 

Visit Pisaqa, Intihuatana, Q’allaqasa, and Kinchiracay. (1 hour 30 min). All 4 places are part of an Inca site on the nearby hill at an altitude of 10,980 feet (3345 m). 

The hill was shaped during Inca times by carving ingenious terraces that are still used for agriculture to this day. 

With military, religious, and agricultural structures, the site was an important and busy place for the Inca empire. 

Afternoon

In the afternoon, transfer to Ollantaytambo, a fortified city built during the reign of Pachacutec, the most powerful Inca emperor. 

Explore this quaint settlement with an interesting orthogonal layout (30 min). 

Climb the Temple Hill known as the fortress to learn about the purpose of those inca constructions (1 hour 30 min).

Day 12 MACHU PICCHU TOUR

Your passport is required to enter the Machu Picchu site. You have the option to get a 'Machu Picchu' stamp in your passport if you wish. 

Morning

Today might be THE day you have been expecting from the moment you landed on Peruvian soil as you will finally enter the ancient citadel of Machu Picchu.

Early morning transfer to Ollantaytambo train station.

Board the comfortable train that will take you to Aguas Calientes, the nearest town to Machu Picchu (1 hour 30 min). 

Arrival in Aguas Calientes, your private guide will meet you and walk you to the bus station (5 min) to hop on a bus to the entrance of the archaeological site.

Enjoy the impressive 20-minute drive up the hill to the Machu Picchu site at 7,972 feet (2430 m). The abandoned stronghold was rediscovered in 1911 by the American archaeologist Hiram Bingham, Macchu Picchu is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. 

Learn about every secret this ancient Inca citadel holds and grab every opportunity to take amazing photographs (3 to 4 hours). 

Afternoon

Take the bus back to Aguas Calientes (20 min) and board the train back to Ollantaytambo (1 hour 30 min).

Transfer to your hotel in Cusco (1 hour 30 min).

Day 13 CUSCO CITY AND ARCHAEOLOGICAL TOUR, FREE AFTERNOON

Morning

In the morning you will meet your guide for a city tour of Cusco including the visit of the Plaza Mayor, the Cathedral and the Koricancha, the Temple of the Sun.

Drive to the hills of Cusco to explore the archaeological site of Sacsayhuaman.

Transfer back to your hotel or the city centre (20 min).

Afternoon

Afternoon at leisure to explore the Spanish colonial city known to the Inca as the “belly button of the world”.

Stroll around numerous plazas, shops selling incredible art and crafts or visit the great Pre-Columbian Museum MAP (not included).

Evening

Free evening to discover Cusco’s vibrant nightlife. We recommend the lively Pisco bar La Republica del Pisco.

Day 14 FLIGHT TO LIMA, FREE AFTERNOON

Morning

Transfer from your hotel to Cusco airport (15 min) for your flight to Lima (60 min).
